“A BIT OF VINYL” PORTRAIT SESSION | KC SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER

It’s a few months before graduation, and the 2022 senior season is finally winding down. I wanted to take a brief moment to reach out to the Class of 2023 (and beyond) to tell you that you can — and should— step outside the status quo for your senior session.

It doesn’t have to be in a field with long grass or in an urban area with crumbling buildings. It can be in an antique shop if you love all things vintage. Or an ice cream parlor with a cone and a couple of your besties. Or skate park with just your board and a halfpipe. Your senior session should reflect who you are and what you love.

I think seniors get stuck with the assumption that their portraits are going to be boring, soulless images that don’t capture their true spirit. That’s not what I want for you. I want to celebrate you and everything that you’ve accomplished over the past 17-18 years.

Shots taken at GotWhatULikeRecords in Kansas City, MO.
