Five Tips for Photographing
Your Kids
with Flowers
01
GET DOWN LOW

Photographing your kid at their level gives you a glimpse into their surroundings in a way you can't do when shooting from above. Plus, it brings the flowers closer to the camera as well.
02
SHOOT THROUGH FLOWERS

Use blooms or foliage to frame your subject. By shooting through the plants, you can add depth to your image and enhance its composition.
03
CONSIDER THEIR CLOTHES

Dress your kids in neutral colors or incorporate tints and shades from the flower patch into their wardrobe. It'll up the wow factor.
04
HOLD BLOSSOM CLOSE TO THEIR FACE

Have them hold a flower right next to their face. Simple, right? But it's always a fan favorite. Just make sure to focus on the eye closest to the camera.
05
STUFF A BOUQUET IN A CUTE PAIR OF SHOES

Buy an inexpensive bouquet, cut the stems to an appropriate length, and stuff them in shoes/socks of your choosing. I've often seen this with cute boots, knee-high socks, and Mary Janes.

Hopefully, these quick tips will help you capture the beautiful blooms this Spring. I'm here if you have any questions.

With love—
