A Tale of Tulle City

WEST BOTTOMS, KANSAS CITY MODEL SHOOT

Corny headline, right!

Just to give you some background, I was an English major in undergrad, and my senior thesis happened to be on the writings of Charles Dickens. But between two-a-day basketball practices, games, our travel schedule, and the partying that goes along with college, I slept through most of my classes and have little to any memory of Dickens. But I did remember the title of one of his most famous pieces. So score one for schoolin’.

If you follow my work at all, you’ve seen that I’ve been slightly obsessed with tulle lately. So it shouldn’t surprise you that I outfitted Kynya in a tulle ASOS dress but brought yards of additional fabric so that we could play.

We actually had a really nice breeze working for us, but we added some supplemental crosswind with an electric blower, and I kinda dig the results.

The model for this series, Kynya Kirch, is an actress and model based in the Kansas City-metro. She works in the fashion, commercial, and film industries and can be booked through her website kynyakirch.com or via Instagram at @queenkyn.
