Homemade Peanut Butter

(With Just Two Ingredients!)

Some recipes are so simple, so no-nonsense, they feel like little acts of rebellion in a world that overcomplicates everything. This homemade peanut butter is one of those. It's just peanuts and sea salt. That's it. No palm oil. No added sugar. No mystery ingredients. Just pure, roasted peanut goodness that you can whip up in five minutes flat.

It's a staple in our home, and to be fully transparent, most of the time, it doesn't even make it to a jar. We eat it right out of the food processor.

This peanut butter is creamy with just the right amount of texture. It's the kind you can swirl onto a soft date, slather on apple slices, or eat straight from the jar with a spoon. (No judgment here—my kids dish themselves out bowlfuls all the time.) It's also endlessly customizable: add a drizzle of honey, a handful of cinnamon, or even a little cocoa powder for something extra special.

Here's the base recipe to get you started:

Ingredients

• 16 oz dry-roasted, unsalted peanuts

• ½ tsp sea salt (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Add peanuts and salt to a food processor.

  2. Blend for 3–6 minutes, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides of the bowl.

  3. Continue blending until you reach your desired consistency—chunky, smooth, or somewhere in between.

  4. Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

Once you make your peanut butter, there's, there's no going back. It's one of those small, grounding kitchen rituals that reminds you that simple is often best.
