Favorite Fall Photos of 2024
There’s something magical about fall — the air that transitions from oppressive to crisp in a matter of days, the golden light that envelopes my subjects, and the vibrant oranges, reds, and yellows that create the perfect backdrop for storytelling photo sessions.
As the leaves turned and the days grew shorter, I had the privilege of capturing families, high school seniors, and personal branding clients, all against the breathtaking scenery of Kansas City.
In this post, I’m sharing some of my favorite images from fall 2024—moments that embody the beauty of the season and the connections between the people in front of my lens. From sun-drenched fields to cozy urban settings, these photos reflect my signature style: clean editing, rich tones, and a touch of cinematic storytelling.
Golden (Hour) Girls
I felt a bit awkward asking these fully grown women to plop down in the middle of a wildflower field and play with each others’ hair, but the small white flowers were the perfect little detail to incorporate into the shot.
Ol’ Blue Eyes
You might have noticed that I love playing with natural elements in my work, so when I saw these giant leaves, I knew I had to use them to frame and isolate her beautiful blue eyes.
Flower for Sissy
When I photograph families, I urge them to interact naturally with the environment around them, and unprompted, these brothers picked a flower for their sister.
Lacy Details
The texture makes this shot. The crack in the concrete leads the eye to the white lacy socks, which, in my opinion, are the star of this particular photo.
Grammy Nominated
This girl. This pose. She definitely looked like she owned the record store with this photo. I bloomed the lights, which gave the image the effect of her being on a stage.
