A Picnic in Loose Park

A LOOSE PARK AFTERNOON | KANSAS CITY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Just off the Plaza, Loose Park is a 75-acre gem in Kansas City and an absolute must for picnics, workouts and playground trips. However, as a photographer, I normally shy away from the more populated locations like Loose because I’m kind of a socially awkward weirdo and don’t like other people to watch me shoot. But because of the rainy weather that preceded this session and a need for tons of midday shade, I chose the historic park.

The Covid-19 outbreak prevented this little one from getting newborn photos, so this session was all about Miss V and capturing the details of her toddlerhood — snuggles from mom and dad, a pink tutu’d bum, tiny feet and toes, perfectly long eyelashes, and of course, her pine cone obsession.
