Frequently Asked Questions
Most frequent questions and answers
What should I wear to a session ?
We’ll have a pre-session consultation to go over the details, but to sum it up: bring two outfits. One should be bright and contrast against the location (reds, yellows, blues), and we prefer the other to be a bit more neutral in color or bohemian in style. If your pictures will have more than one person, try to be cohesive in your wardrobe choices.
What kind of preparation goes into our artwork ?
Short answer. A lot. We’ll set aside the time it takes to learn the technical and artistic aspects of photography, and start with your session. We prep you and your family with wardrobe and makeup suggestions. We scout locations to find the perfect spot. We shoot the session while improvising and bonding with your family. Then we prepare and edit your selections, post them to your gallery and set up a post-session meeting.
How many pictures will I get ?
At our base rate, we aim to provide you with 20 fully-edited photos. From there, you can select which ones you’d like to purchase. Our print lab offers several professional photo papers, high-end wall displays, and heirloom albums. It’s totally up to you how many prints you’d like to own.
How will I see my final photos ?
After the photo shoot, we will set up a time to come to your home (or an outside location, if you prefer) so that you can view and purchase your artwork. We also will put your photos in an online gallery so that you can purchase additional photos in the future or show them to grandparents and friends who also might want a photograph.
Do you sell digital files ?
We offer top-off-the-line photographic art to be framed, printed onto canvas, used as part of a photo book or added to a keepsake box. However, at a client’s request, we can sell the digital file and an accompanying print release.
What are your rates?
